Who we are

Our management committee comprises dedicated volunteers who have served community organisations. Working together, they aim to make a significant contribution towards reconciliation awareness and action in Manningham.

Margaret Graham, Patron

Margaret is a founding member of Reconciliation Manningham.
A retired schoolteacher, she has had a lifelong commitment to Aboriginal causes and has visited Aboriginal communities across Australia. She also led the Uniting Church Reconciliation Group.

Jim Poulter, Secretary

Jim’s family has generations of involvement with the Aboriginal community. In 2012, he became Manningham Citizen of the Year for his contribution to reconciliation. He continues to write about Aboriginal history and heritage, including for the Warrandyte Diary.

Julie Martyn, Social Media Lead

Julie has been volunteering with various community organisations. She joined Reconciliation Manningham to learn more about Indigenous history and contribute to reconciliation. Julie has a particular interest in the impact

of colonisation on First Nations People.

Foong Sim Chin, Digital Lead

Foong Sim has a Master of Information Technology. She is a volunteer with U3A Manningham. She hopes to learn more of First Australians' heritage and the true history of how Australia came to be.

Reconciliation Manningham acknowledges the Woiwurrung language people of the Kulin Federation as the traditional custodians and curators of the Yarra Valley Estate, the land we now all share. 

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and take pride as Australians, in sharing this heritage of the world’s oldest living culture.
